This miniature infrared transmitter operates at ranges of up to 5 m/ 16.4 ft., and may be set for either instant shutter release or 2-second delay. The RC-1 may also be used to activate mirror-lock and bulb-shutter functions.

This remote works as I expected and advertised. Enables me to get into photos without having to hurry in to the frame using a timer. The price is great concidering the functionality. This is the second one I have purchased. The first is still working great after 2 years of ownership, this one I bought to go along to my son when I up graded to the Rebel Xsi from the Rebel Xt which I am giving to him.

I absolutely LOVE this camera!!! It's so tiny, so easy to use, and the pictures are absolutely gorgeous. The camera itself is beautiful, too. The zoom function is great and so is the image stabilizer. There are all sorts of great effects, including fun ways you can play around with color, enhancing certain colors, or shooting in black and white or sepia. You can also make sound recordings and video recordings. I've had a few cameras and this is the best one by far, even better than a much fancier expensive one I bought earlier this year. I have only one complaint, which is that the User's Guide is disorganized and hard to understand, with pages referring the reader to other pages so many times that it's dizzying. However, the camera is so easy to use, so intuitive, that this should not hold anyone back from getting this fantastic camera.

The AS590IS is a great camera for me. I have had a number of 35 mm cameras and one digital camera. This camera is easy to use especially for those that are not really high tech. There are functions that a person can do manually if they understand the camera and how to use the functions. There are a number of settings that are easy to select and use. I would recommend this camera it is a good value.

I bought this camera to replace a 3 year old Panasonic. The Canon's features and picture output are great. The image stabilization really works well and allows me to capture on the fly shots of my family. I have owned the 5D for about 5 months. I was waiting for the 5D Mark II but I decided not to wait any longer and I am glad I didn't. Previously I had used a Rebel XT that I still own and have as a second body. Reading the review that gave it only 2 stars is just a bit dissapointing. The overwhelming number of people (pros and amateurs alike) that have truly used this camera as it was designed (that is, coupled with the right choice of lens) have had outstanding results. This camera is excellent when used with the right lens; I have used it with my Canon 16-35mm 2.8 L II and the full frame just sings edge to edge with beautiful,smooth tones and sharpness (think exquisite landscapes). Vigneting is not an issue in my experience; because of all the reviews posted, to go into a full review will be repetitious so I won't. Just for fun, I used a "consumer" lens to test it and it truly shows all the flaws of the cheaper optics; this reinforced the notion that you really cannot use this camera with lower quality glass.

I will admit freely to being the ulitmate girly-girl and primarily purchasing this camera because it is my favourite colour (brown) and would match 90% of my wardrobe :) However, I am very impressed by the quality of the pics. I have had the camera only 2 days now but I have taken it everywhere with me ( it is small enough to fit in your pocket...really tiny) and have gotten some amazing shots.Those 8 MPs really work! I have always been a Canon fanatic and they have not disappointed me yet.

I bought the camera to replace my Canon A530 which still takes great pictures. The camera takes wonderful pictures in auto, but also provides a fully manual mode. The pictures can be noisy above ISO 200 but it doesnt distract from the picture unless you are doing large prints or zooming in. The flash recharges quickly, compared to my A530. One of the features that i enjoyed using the most on this camera was the digital teleconverter. The digital teleconverter which can be set at 1.5x or 2.0x conbined with the 6x optical zoom allows you to take great pictures at a distance, absolutely a great feature. The camera also has no problem focusing on objects whether far or upclose. Overall a very solid camera a bit on the heavy side but it can still fit in the pocket.

Just got back from vacation and am totally satisfied with how this camera performed. I used this along with my SD750. Quite cool to see other people's reaction when I tossed it in the pool before I jumped in. Have great shots in the pool. Very easy to use and keeps the camera dry. Can't wait to actually use this during dnorkling or diving.

I purchased this case for a trip to Negril Jamaica and it was well worth the money! This case was easy to use and allowed my wife and I to get unbelievable underwater pics while snorkeling on the reefs of Negril. All the other people on our boat were using cheap disposable underwater cameras while we were looking at our pics on the boat going back to the resort. Fun to use in the pools as well.

Canon Off Camera Shoe Cord OC-E3

I bought this to replace an off-brand cord that wasn't syncing with my camera (Canon 20D & 580 EX flash). The off-brand cord was bought to replace the original Canon off camera shoe cord II, which breaks easily. This OC-E3 cord seems to be tougher, though the part that broke on my last Canon cord seems to be exactly the same material on the new one. Time will tell.

The cord is a bit short but long enough for my flash bracket. It seems to be substantial and has operated flawlessly so far. I have not used it extensively. My Vivitar flash bracket has no locking mechanism for the end that goes to the flash and there is the possibility it and the flash can slip off the bracket handle. The other end of the cord has a fastening mechanism as does my Cannon flash. I used a heavy rubber band to secure it. Buyers should be sure their flash bracket has a fastening screw mechanism.
