Okay, I've got it all of a couple days now, so I'll probably update this later, but right now... ...this thing rocks! I have not noticed any significant motor noise during operations OR playback, though I have not yet dropped a video into my workstation yet. Sometime in the next couple of weeks I'll get around to that, but for now, WOW!
