This is a great entry level camera. I purchased this camera last year with two tamron lenses and love it. This is my first dslr and works well for what I use it for. The only down side that I would say it has is that the really bright reds come out with more of an orange-ish tent using the full auto mode and even with some of the more advanced features. Bottom line- GOOD CAMERA if you don't already have a dslr or if you want to upgrade from the xt 8mp model.

I bought this camera as a pre-birthday gift for myself to replace my Canon SD 550 camera and I love it ! The LCD screen in the back is phenomenal which make my picture taking a breeze. I love this camera! It's so much fun to use, and there's so many little features, I'm still trying to figure it all out; the instruction manual is a little confusing. The pictures are all gorgeous, even at the lowest quality settings, and the battery lasts pretty long! The only thing I don't like about it is that the automatic flash is VERY bright. Luckily, this can be adjusted (with great results!), or completely turned off. I was amazed at how bright and clear my pictures were without the flash. It's a really incredible camera, the best in its class!

This is everything I wanted in a camera. My pictures are clear and the color is good. It is pretty easy to use. ( The buttons are a bit awkward to use as others have mentioned, and I have small hands. Can't imagine how a large man could even use them.) The features are easy to learn with a little help from the book. I took pictures in complete darkness and you could not tell that it was night time. They were excellent. I took pictures over the holidays without charging the battery, not sure of the quantity, but we scroll through the pictures many, many times too. I don't have a need to purchase a second battery.
